You could apply the most expensive makeup in the world, but if you're not applying it right you will never get that smooth, flawless and desired results. "Beauty Blender" a revolutionary makeup sponge slash applicator has become a cult favourite and a staple in every makeup bag. BB a seven time award winner of the annual "Best of Beauty Awards" is no ordinary sponge .Every other person is raving about this egg shaped tool but since I don't wear a foundation and stick to solid concealers, I never felt like I had any use for this thing. But oh boi I was badly mistaken, this tool is equally good for blending solids as for foundations, liquid concealers, cream blushes and much more.
Review:
The beauty blender is renowned for its egg shaped design and bright pink colour (it comes in other colours as well, but the original is bright pink). The difference between the beauty blender and other beauty applicators is the apparent difference that you see as soon as you first pick it up.So lets get straight to its Pros and Cons without any further delay.
Pros:
As it is a reusable sponge it lasts a few months, as long as you keep it clean and take care of it.The texture of the sponge is so soft that even a slight touch causes it to indent.Where other applicators can have a splotchy or streaky application, the BB's coverage looks surprisingly natural and uniform but there's a certain way to use this tool that is by dampening the sponge prior to the application. It's latex free and non-allergic plus you can blend in hard to reach areas.
Cons:
The tool isn't cheap and retails at $20. You have to be very vigilant about keeping it clean .The sponge holds stains and should probably be cleaned every time you use it and not cleaning it can result in accumulation of fungus on the sponge. It doesn't really work with BB creams or light coverage foundations as it soaks up most of the product.
